The term ‘Dealer’ means, in the context of weight or measure, a person or a business that carries out selling, trading, marketing or distribution of weights or measures for cash or deferred payment to a person other than a dealer from a commission agent, an importer, or a manufacturer.
Dealer license is issued to those companies that are involved in the process of marketing and trading weights and measures. As such, without the required license no company or person can involve in any of the above said processes. If a person or company intends to sell and market weights and measures, he or the company needs to obtain the dealer license from the officer of the concerned location where the dealer intends to trade and market the products from.
