Update of IP/IW’s Birthdate if it is Not More Than Three Years

The office of ESIC is constantly getting letters and statements from different stakeholders and employers around the nation regarding editing and updating their employee’s personal information, particularly the date of birth. It has been difficult for Insured Persons/Insured Women to alter or correct their personal information, particularly their date of birth, which has changed by three or more years.

• In this regard, ESIC Corporation voluntarily introduced Aadhaar for registration.
• It also talks about granting benefits to IP and beneficiaries under ESIC Scheme.
• In this respect, online requests for modifications or updating of IP’s personal information, notably their date of birth (varying three years or more), may be approved per the information on their Aadhaar Card, which has a precise date of birth.
• As a result, all Regional Directors/Joint Directors, In Charge are requested to issue directions to all field offices under their jurisdiction to lessen the hardship experienced by IPs and their families.
• It must be done in strict compliance with the disposal of all online requests for editing/updating of IPs and their family particulars within three days.
