Maintaining Records: Keep records of raw materials, finished products, suppliers, and customers as required by FSSAI regulations.

Ensuring Compliance: Ensure FBOs comply with FSSAI regulations regarding food safety and quality, including safe consumption, correct labelling, proper packaging and storage.

Handling Complaints and Recalls: Manage complaints and assist FBOs in conducting product recalls if necessary.

Guidelines to Become an FSSAI Agent

To become an FSSAI agent, you must

Eligibility: Be a citizen of India, at least 18 years old, and possess a graduation degree from a recognized university.

Training: Complete an FSSAI-approved training program.

Registration: Register with the FSSAI by submitting the required documents and paying the registration fee.

Renewal: Renew your FSSAI agent registration every five years.

Registration Process for FSSAI Agent

Visit the FSSAI website and click on the “Registration” tab.

Select “New Registration” and enter your details, including name, contact information, and address.

Choose “FSSAI Agent” as the registration type and provide additional details, such as qualifications, experience, and expertise in food safety.

Complete the application and pay the registration fees online.
